Hideaway Hollow - Game environment

Hideaway hollow is the very first environment the player and Tinker will experience on the Isles of Satinette. Tinker has returned to his estranged family home to discover his late fathers last wish. Once the player has completed the initial dialogue and exposition, Tinker will be free to explore the world. This opening area needs to introduce the player to some core platforming mechanics as well as illustrate the type of world and aesthetic we are trying to achieve

The isles of Satinette is a grounded fantasy environment inspired by the classic story books of Peter rabbit and Wind in the willows, both of which have a quintessential British charm to them.
Therefore we want the Isles of Satinette to feel like a small, mid 19th century British island and the environment needs to illustrate this through key references to Britain and this time period.
